For Jason's clients

Two quick things before we meet.

Every meeting with Jason starts with a visual snapshot of your finances — accounts, policies, beneficiaries, all on one page. It replaces the yellow-pad conversation with something we can actually look at together. Here's how to prep in about ten minutes.

The prep

Two steps — about ten minutes total.

Doing these before we meet turns our appointment from "getting oriented" into "making decisions." Both are optional, but clients who complete them get more out of the first meeting.

Step 1

The conversation before the picture

A short warm-up walkthrough that surfaces where things stand today — what's protected, what's exposed, what's on the "someday" list. Takes about five minutes.

  • Life stage, family, and what you're most focused on right now
  • Where your money is working, and where it's just sitting
  • Anything on your mind that would keep you up at night
  • What you'd want to see us tackle first
Start the walk-through

Runs in your browser. Nothing is stored or shared unless you send it to Jason yourself.

Step 2

The visual planning snapshot

A five-minute visual snapshot Jason uses in every meeting. You'll enter accounts, policies, and beneficiaries — anything you don't have handy, we'll track down together.

  • Balances for the accounts you're comfortable sharing
  • Life insurance and disability coverage (if any)
  • Beneficiaries and simple estate documents (will, trust)
  • Anyone you support or plan to support
Open the snapshot

Sent directly to Jason's planning software. He'll review before the meeting so we can spend our time on what matters.

In the meeting

What our first sit-down looks like.

If you completed the two steps above, we walk in with a working picture on the big screen and skip the paperwork phase. If you didn't, no problem — we just spend the first fifteen minutes building it together.

1

Walk your picture

We put your one-page snapshot on the screen and step through it together. This is where "someday" concerns become specific line items.

2

Find the gaps

Missing protection, tax leakage, beneficiary mistakes, orphaned old-employer accounts — the picture makes them obvious. We flag what to fix in order of impact.

3

Agree on next steps

You leave with two or three concrete actions and a clear picture of what to expect at the next meeting. No surprise product pitch.

Common questions

A few things clients usually ask.

Do I have to do the two prep steps?

No. They're there to make the meeting more valuable, not to gate it. If you'd rather show up and start from scratch, that works — we'll just spend the first fifteen minutes building the picture together in the room.

Is my information private?

The walk-through in Step 1 runs entirely in your browser — nothing leaves your device unless you send it to Jason. The visual snapshot in Step 2 goes directly into Jason's planning software, protected by the same security standards as your account statements. Jason is the only person who sees it.

Is this financial advice?

Not yet. The prep tools are for organization and discovery — they help you show up prepared. Actual advice happens in the meeting, in writing, and only after a full review of your situation and any required disclosures.

What if I don't have all the account details handy?

Bring what you have and estimate the rest. We refine everything together — the point of the first meeting is to get the picture right, not to gather perfect data upfront.

How long is the first meeting?

Plan on about an hour. Existing clients doing an annual review usually run 45 minutes if the picture is up to date. New clients sometimes go a bit longer, especially if there's a lot to bring together.
